ABOUT HOCKEY BALANCE

We help hockey players fix real movement issues—building strength, balance, and control that translate directly to better on-ice performance.

Meet Joriah

Clinical skill meets practical coaching.

Combining a passion for hockey with deep knowledge of human movement, Joriah—a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and former NASM-certified trainer—designs training systems that improve mobility, balance, and overall athleticism. Every drill has purpose, every movement connects to performance.

The Pivot That Defined the Approach

With a late start in competitive hockey, Joriah had to catch up fast. Limited ice time and real movement gaps—ankle tightness, shaky balance, inconsistent posture—showed up in every drill. He felt the difference between wanting to “skate harder” and what his body could actually do. Those early seasons shaped how he saw the game and what players truly need to progress.

The "Aha Moment": fix the body,
unlock the game

By focusing on mobility, single-leg strength, and core stability everything changed: deeper stance without forcing it, cleaner edges, faster transitions, and shots that felt effortless. That shift became the blueprint.

Today, he coaches the same foundation—simple, purposeful work that helps players move better, perform longer, and stay out of the training room.

Coaching Philosophy

We keep it simple: fix the root limits first, then build strength and skill that actually show up on the ice.

Dynamic Balance

Develop the foundation of every movement on and off the ice.

Foundational Mobility

Unlock the body’s ability to move correctly before adding intensity.

Functional Strength

Build strength that directly translates to on-ice performance.
